Breast augmentation may be implant based, in which case a silicone “gummy” or saline filled implant is placed into the breast pocket. The breast pocket is created either above or below the pectoralis muscle depending on patient needs and preference. Alternatively, autologous fat can be transferred after liposuction to the breast to increase breast volume.
